Making a Homemade Cider Press
The most important item of equipment needed to make cider or perry is a cider press. There are many different types, and the amateur with just a few gallons of fruit can always begin by buying an inexpensive basket press. Pretty soon thoug, you're going to want to obtain or build a proper rack and cloth press in order to cope with larger volumes and obtain a much higher yield from the laboriously gathered fruit.
